Your information, handled with care
Last updated: 19 August 2026
This policy explains what information Pure Haven Candle collects when you visit our website or place an order, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We keep it plain rather than legalistic, because a policy you can't read isn't much of a policy.
Pure Haven Candles LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”) makes and sells hand-poured coconut wax candles, car diffusers, and room & body sprays.
We trade as Pure Haven Candles LLC, of 34 Prospect St, Suite 10, East Orange, NJ 07017, United States. For any question about this policy or your personal information, write to [email protected].
We are the data controller for the information described below.
We never collect or store your full card number. Payment details go directly to our payment processor.
We use the information above to:
Where required by law, we rely on one of the following as our legal basis: performing our contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interest in running the business, or compliance with a legal obligation.
Payments are handled by Stripe. When you check out, your card details are sent directly to them over an encrypted connection. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the last four digits of the card, but never the full number or security code.
Your payment provider processes your data under its own privacy policy, which we'd encourage you to read.
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them to:
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop the cart and checkout from working properly.
We currently use the Meta Pixel to measure the performance of our advertising. You can review Meta's own data policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services needed to run the shop:
Each of these providers is only permitted to use your information to perform the service we've asked of them.
If you opt in, we'll email you about new scents, restocks, and occasional offers. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
Order confirmations, shipping updates, and replies to your messages are transactional. You'll continue to receive those even if you unsubscribe from marketing, because they relate to a purchase you've made.
We keep order records for 2 years to meet tax and accounting requirements. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact form messages are also kept for 2 years and then deleted.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it so it can no longer identify you.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days, and we won't treat you differently for asking.
Our site runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and payment details are handled entirely by our payment provider. We limit access to personal information to the people who need it to fulfil orders and answer your questions.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we can't guarantee absolute security.
Our site and emails may link to other websites — social media, payment providers, or shipping carriers. We're not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and we'd encourage you to read their policies before sharing information with them.
We may update this policy as the business changes or the law requires. The date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we'll tell you by email or with a notice on the site.
Questions about this policy, or about the information we hold on you:
If you're in the UK or EU and you're unhappy with our response, you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
If anything here is unclear, or you'd like a copy of the information we hold on you, just ask.
